　　這幾天吶，爺爺迷上英語了，要來我預備級的書，準備自學成材。真不知道爺爺是三分鐘熱度還是真的想學，反正每天都讀，也不知道跟誰學的。不對，爺爺的記性一點都不好，怎么記住的.？你聽——又開始讀了，我得看看。

　　“apple、computer、china、one那叫啥d來著，唉，我這記性。”

　　“oneworld.”

　　“對，對，就是‘我的’”

　　我一聽，不對，怎么變音了？我一瞧，笑得直不起腰，書上寫的都是不著邊的漢語，爺爺知道這是不對的，聳聳肩，撇撇嘴，我說：“這都是跟誰學的，不能這樣。不如我教你吧。”爺爺高興得直點頭，于是，我正式上任了。

　　我看爺爺學音標也晚了，就教趣味記憶法：“爺爺，你看‘computer’這個中c的像一把椅子，o像一個人，m像一臺電腦,后面的可以拼出來，p念漢語拼音里的p，u年漢語拼音的u，拼一下，ter也同樣拼出來。這樣不但好記，還好拼寫，這就是趣味記憶法。”

　　爺爺笑著摸了摸我的頭，又埋頭練習了。

　　這天他來我們家，竟然還背了個小書包，可把我樂壞了，他說要來我們家學習。這么個小不點兒，學什么習喲，話都還沒學會幾句，我倒真想看看他來我們家學什么！？他從書包里“嘩”地抽出一本大大的彩圖書，我定睛一看，原來是一本英文字母入門書呀！小表弟說：“哥哥，這是我們幼兒園發的，我要哥哥教教我！”“得了吧，你普通話都說不準，還想學什么英語呀？”小表弟一看我兇巴巴的樣子，立即準備淚汪汪，一副可憐巴巴的樣子。我真怕他那哇哇大哭的`聲響，立馬連聲說：“好好好！哥哥教你！哥哥教你！”小表弟立即破涕為笑。我從A一直到Z，一個一個讓他跟我讀，他雖然讀一點都不標準，有好幾個幾乎是“南轅北轍”，但看他那副認認真真的樣子，真叫人不忍心批評他。我又重新從頭教他讀，他讀寫讀寫，便開始東張西望起來，不一會兒就跑去玩玩具了。我逗他：“快過來，哥哥沒教完呢！”他已經假裝聽不見，自顧自地玩著。

Punctuality is an important constituent of good character.A person who is always on time for his appointments shows real consideration for others. A person who is always late shows selfishness and thoughtlessness, and he is not a person that most people want for a friend. A few minutes' delay may not be a serious matter, but it may have bad results. Getting up ten minutes later than usual may upset the plan of the day.Calling on a friend five minutes later than the appointed time may cause him some unexpected trouble. One delay after another makes a man unable to exert himself. It also proves himto be untrustworthy.
