　　Spring set in early this year. Some of my neighbors began to grow flowers. There were morning glories, jasmine, cactus, and the like in their flowerpots. I wanted to have a try myself. But I had neither knowledge nor experience in such matters. Fortunately, I came across a book on plants in the library. I read the relevant chapters, which left me with the impression that any plant would grow luxuriantly if you could supply it with sufficient fertilizer and water. Of these two essential factors, fertilizer was obviously by far the more important one.

I dug some of the seeds out of the soil and found they had already rotted! Why they had rotted defied my analysis. So I went to consult one of my neighbors. He told me my failure was due to my misunderstanding of the hook, and the fact was that I had overfed themwater or fertilizer may be a two-edged sword.

But it will take up so much land that crowded cities become more crowded. Another solu tion is to open up more bus lines. If more bus lines should be opened up,the number of bicles and cars in the main streets would be greatly decreased. But the disadvantage of this solution is that many people wouldn’t feel so convenient os they used to.

　　近年來，許多城市都面臨著交通擁擠這個問題。人們在上班或回家的路上不得不浪費許多寶貴的時間，甚至還會出車禍。隨著工業的`發展和人口的增長，這個問題變得越來越嚴重。
