　　A Letter of Apology

　　Dear Mr. Wang,

　　I am writing to apologize for my late homework. The paper which you have assigned to us last Monday was due this Friday, but to my regret, I haven? even started it yet. I feel really sorry for not handing in the paper on time and for the inconvenience it would bring to you.

　　I have caught a serious cold last week and the doctor asked me to stay in bed for a week since I was very weak and the weather was very cold these days. Therefore, I couldn? go to the library to get the necessary referential information which was needed for my paper. As a result of this, I have not started writing the paper yet and could not handed it in on time.

　　Fortunately I have finally fully recovered. I will finish the paper as soon as I can and try my best to hand in homework on time in the future.

　　為我遲交的作業(yè)，特寫(xiě)信致歉。您上周一布置給我們的論文是截止到這周五，但是我非常抱歉，我甚至還沒(méi)開(kāi)始寫(xiě)。沒(méi)有及時(shí)上交論文，以及為此可能帶給你的不便，我真的感到很抱歉。

　　I have caught a serious cold last week and the doctor asked me to stay in bed for a week since I was very weak and the weather was very cold these days. Therefore, I couldn't go to the library to get the necessary referential information which was needed for my paper. As a result of this, I have not started writing the paper yet and could not hand it in on time.

　　上周我得了重感冒，因?yàn)樯眢w虛弱、天氣寒冷，醫(yī)生要求我臥床一周。因此，我不能去圖書(shū)館查找寫(xiě)論文必要的參考信息。結(jié)果是，我還沒(méi)開(kāi)始寫(xiě)論文，也就不能按時(shí)交了。

　　Fortunately I have finally fully recovered. I will finish the paper as soon as I can and try my best to hand in homework on time in the future.

　　幸運(yùn)的是，我終于完全康復(fù)了。我會(huì)盡我所能盡快完成論文，并且今后盡力按時(shí)交作業(yè)。
